The anti-Trump Resistance has been begging the Democrats to begin an impeachment inquiry for quite some time now, and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler had some good news for the Dem base. Well, sort of:
Jerry Nadler: "This is formal impeachment proceedings."
"We are investigating all the evidence, gathering the evidence. And we will [at the] conclusion of this … vote to vote articles of impeachment to the House floor. Or we won’t."https://t.co/MdW4A86hvd

Many on the Left might have gotten pretty excited by Nadler’s statement, at least until they hit those last three words:
…or we won't…??

Or we won't.
These dems are the lowest of low energy!

Nadler’s left himself and the Dems a really big “out” there!

This is like your parents promising you a puppy for Christmas and getting you a goldfish.
A formal impeachment inquiry carries with it a historical weight. This slow, meandering investigation with no wall-to-wall hearings is meant to run out the clock. #impeachmentinquirynow https://t.co/3BNnK4xNUK

I really expected Jerry Nadler to pack a stronger punch.
Mr. Mueller provided the evidence and it is past time for the House to #ImpeachTrump.
The House has a public mandate to #ImpeachTrumpNow. https://t.co/Xh2SrJBgi8

Tired of Nadler's double talk. What he is doing is far from formal impeachment proceedings. Nadler, stop this mess & immediately begin real full & formal impeachment proceedings or go home. Pelosi has her foot firmly planted on Nadler's neck. Pitiful. https://t.co/SYUc7xp8mE

How long can the House Dems keep moving the impeachment goalposts before their base gets completely fed up? We’ll see if that ever happens.
