The White House has temporarily suspended the pass of Playboy reporter, CNN political analyst, and occasional Jim Acosta wannabe Brian Karem:
>> @BrianKarem received a letter today saying his "hard pass" for White House access will be suspended for 30 days starting Monday. The letter cited his behavior in the Rose Garden on July 11, when he got into it with Seb Gorka. He says he will contest the suspension.

Karem confirmed that on Twitter:
Received an email today shortly before 5 p.m. from the WH: as of Monday afternoon my press pass is suspended for 30 days.
— Brian J. Karem (@BrianKarem) August 2, 2019
Yes. I can and will appeal this decision.
— Brian J. Karem (@BrianKarem) August 3, 2019
And Playboy is on it too:
Suspension of credentialed press by the government is incredibly concerning. We are working with our lawyers to appeal the decision to suspend @briankarem. Since 1953, Playboy has fought to protect First Amendment rights, and the fight must continue today.

However, because Karem didn’t tweet the reason the White House said it was suspending his hard pass for a month, here’s what unfolded in July:
Can you tell us what he says in this video to the Americans assembled there? https://t.co/cRQbb61Jtl

Karem seemed to be more “activist” than “journalist” here:
Here’s the video of so-called journalist @BrianKarem heckling and insulting attendees of today’s Rose Garden event. This guy gets paid by CNN to do this. pic.twitter.com/EHwV1WTLGN

Video for context
I don't care who's in the White House, no member of the press corps should insult invited guests of the Presidenthttps://t.co/rG0MTz9nPr

Karem said everyone there was “eager for demonic possession” and then challenged Gorka to a fight. Stop trying to play the victim. It’s not going to work. pic.twitter.com/xqVCgW6Gf7

We’ll now wait to see what happens with Karem’s appeal.
Isn't that CNN ANALYST Brian Karem? The one who apparently called the president a 'F—ing Moron'?https://t.co/G46Yzil8Js https://t.co/YA9dz3oZ6G

WHY is Brian the only one surprised by this move? https://t.co/eFlvLTM0lG

Earned! You built this! https://t.co/xp1IiEbQSd

Well deserved suspension. He’s an activist not a journalist @brianstelter https://t.co/3INJ4F20RL

Karem proved his “activist” status last month.
