As we told you Wednesday, Rep. Ilhan Omar has accused the U.S. of “bullying” the Nicolas Maduro regime in Venezuela. Omar said back in February that the Trump administration, which has joined other countries to officially recognize Juan Guaidó as the interim president, is staging a “coup attempt” in Venezuela. With all that in mind, Marco Rubio joined Trish Regan on Fox News Thursday evening, and the Florida senator couldn’t believe what he’d heard from the freshman member of Congress from Minnesota:
.@marcorubio SHREDS @IlhanMN for blaming Venezuela’s problems on the U.S.: “It's not intelligent .. It's silly, It's ridiculous. It’s actually embarrassing." #TrishRegan pic.twitter.com/hCMidl1Cgm

Well, there it is.
Rubio makes an important point in this segment. Until a few months ago, all of the sanctions were targeted at specific individuals. Venezuelans have been starving for years. Blaming the U.S. sanctions for the suffering of the Venezuelan people requires incredible ignorance. https://t.co/jzK6fmzDdB

Can a media outlet host a Rubio and Omar debate to discuss further?

.@marcorubio I don’t agree with everything the Trump administration has done and does. But I, as a Venezuelan, completely agree with everything you just said. https://t.co/VBius6g1zU
