A press conference in support of Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx was held in Chicago today:
Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx is at Rev. Jesse Jackson's @RPCoalition this morning. The congregation prayed for her ahead of a press conference starting soon with black suburban police chiefs who are supporting Foxx after attacks over the Jussie Smollett case. pic.twitter.com/Vxkw2KqKYs

Today's press conference with Kim Foxx and a group of black suburban police chiefs comes two days after the Chicago FOP and a group of all white suburban police chiefs gave a vote of "no confidence" in Foxx. Thursday's group was upset at the outcome of the Jussie Smollett case.

The show of support for Foxx, who is facing criticism from the Chicago police as well as many others for dropping charges against Jussie Smollett, featured an activist who referred to the FOP this way:
Community activist Ja'Mal Green says the Chicago FOP and the group of all white suburban police chiefs looked like the "Blue Klux Klan" when they held a press conference Thursday attacking Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx over the Jussie Smollett case. pic.twitter.com/Lxm3TWGMmx

What did Foxx have to say about that? Nothing, as evidenced by video from a reporter on the scene seeking comment:
A rally in support of Kim Foxx just happened in which at least one speaker flat out called the FOP racist “blue klux klan.” Foxx did not object to that and carried on with her speech. After her extemely short presser I asked if she agrees that all police are racist: pic.twitter.com/kqM4G8hAze

That’s basically an in-kind donation to Jussie Smollett’s defense… again:

SHE DID NOT EXACTLY PROTEST THE "BLUE KLUX KLAN" ACCUSATIONS.

Send her to congress, she'll fit right in with the new batch of #Democrats . Cops are the blue klux klan? This is why you have a President Trump people. Accept it. Keep it up & see you in 2024. https://t.co/xvAiO06Vbg
