One of the most progressive cities in the United States has a problem with homelessness, and plans have been made to open another shelter:

Homelessness is a crisis in our city and we need to act to get people off the streets and into housing. We're happy to demonstrate how these Nav Centers work and the benefits they've brought to other neighborhoods, but we can't afford unnecessary delays. https://t.co/WlqpQYahsd

Naturally the entire city is on board, right? Well, apparently not:

According to the Free Beacon, the area is part of Nancy Pelosi’s district:
Both the proposed site and the surrounding neighborhoods are located in California’s 12th Congressional District, represented by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.). San Francisco is among the wealthiest city’s in the country, with an average household income of $141,000.
Have those who want to build it tried calling it a “sanctuary shelter” to try and get more local progressive support?
I'll guarantee 99.9% of opposition donations are from white progressives and liberals who slam the GOP for not caring about the less fortunate and only caring about the ultra rich. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

San Fran. I would love to know how many of these folks are screeching on Twitter every day about open borders and compassion. https://t.co/IFQZE4vRcz

That would be an interesting statistic to see.
Do as I say, not as I do!

Funny how they oppose a homeless shelter when those same people opposing it are the ones that drove real estate prices to the point of no return in San Fran. https://t.co/yEVQ4rkwl8

Meanwhile, a different GoFundMe has been started to counter the other one;
Hey SF!
Did you also scorn wealthy waterfront dwellers for starting a @GoFundMe page to fight a homeless shelter? Well, I've got good news…
There's a *RIVAL* GoFundMe meant to troll those socialites that will FUND THE HOMELESS. So, give already! https://t.co/RwslWmPtDg pic.twitter.com/Vm5MebsGPT
