THUD: Time Mag's Charlotte Alter tries to walk back 'never experienced American prosperity' tweet, trips over own words AND AOC

As we told you recently, Time Magazine correspondent Charlotte Alter promoted a puff piece on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by explaining why her generation tends to embrace socialism:

After getting mockery and blowback for saying “people our age have never experienced American prosperity in our adult lives,” Alter has tried to walk it back:

It wasn’t about her personal experience?

Huh. Go figure.

Just a little.

The backtrack from Alter’s original tweet has a “Green New Deal FAQ” backfire feel to it.

‘History and reality are unimportant?’ AOC’s pride in her own ignorance is pretty scary
