'Unbelievable'! NBC News report about what Covington students will see at school earns media a super-sarcastic round of applause

Now that the media has had a hand in whipping up a rage mob over debunked reports about a video, they can start breathlessly reporting about the aftermath they helped create. People’s Exhibit A: This NBC News report:

Students at the center of a D.C. march video that went viral will see police and protesters at school when they return Tuesday https://t.co/nCP2iMrhqU

Well gee, why might that be?

Slow clap media. Great job all around.

Thanks to media and all the grown predators who decided to bully and threaten children to this point. What was done to these kids is child abuse. https://t.co/fkObvSo2sk

Isn't that something? #NBC along with #CNN, #MSNBC, #ABC, and #CBS can pat themselves on the back for making this happen. https://t.co/2xeSHgDivS

Great job, everybody! *Eye roll*

The media should be so proud. Slow clap for y’all.

— Brittany Hughes (@RealBrittHughes) January 22, 2019

Congrats to the mob. You're really accomplishing a lot by trying to destroy the lives of these kids based of falsehoods you refused to check. https://t.co/beINDj3tDv

Thanks to you fake media garbage people. https://t.co/nbKbcdrEWo

All thanks to the media

Unbelievable. Kids who weren't even part of what happened will now have to deal with the fall out because of irresponsible #Media characterization & outright lies. I hope the parents let the lawsuits fly against every media outlet that hasn't retracted by now. #CovingtonBoys https://t.co/NUCNcS8Q57

All because of a extremely irresponsible main stream media. Time to be journalists, not activists

— MikeReaume (@ReaumeMike) January 22, 2019

With at least two more years of the Trump presidency remaining, the media “activism” is still ramping up. We ain’t seen nothin’ yet, and obviously many of them don’t care about collateral damage.
