THERE it is! U.N. Climate Conference leaders say 'deep transformations of our economies' needed 'to build a better world for all'

COP24 is off and running in Poland, and with it, some dire warnings, such as this one from Sir David Attenborough:

Among the doom and gloom predictions at this year’s gathering is what past Climate Conference presidents have said in a letter will be required to save humanity:

In other words, it sounds like all the world’s problems could be solved by turning over most of the country’s wealth and control to the United Nations for redistribution, minus any overhead charges of course:

In a rare intervention, presidents of previous UN climate summits issued a joint statement as the talks got under way, calling on states to take “decisive action… to tackle these urgent threats”.

“The impacts of climate change are increasingly hard to ignore,” said the statement, a copy of which was obtained by AFP. “We require deep transformations of our economies and societies.”

The full statement is here.

If the U.N. really wants a good head start on lowering the amount of greenhouse gases that go into the atmosphere, they could start by canceling U.N. Climate Summits:
