The use of tear gas and pepper spray used to drive back migrants who attempted to breach a border fence, some while throwing rocks at border cops, has Sally Kohn accusing the U.S. of over-reacting:
If reports of a few migrants throwing rocks at the border are true, please wonder at whether a few rocks are really a threat to the heavily armed, militarized US border patrol:
ROCKS AREN’T THREATS.
THEY’RE JUST THE EXCUSE FOR TRUMP TO RESPOND WITH DEADLY FORCE.

Deadly force? The first THUD you heard was a hard trip over the previous administration:
Tear gas is not deadly. Neither is pepper spray. Which was used in 2013 by the Obama DHS. Were you outraged then? https://t.co/Y9bYG5utNf

I’m trying to recall your outrage when this happened during the Obama administration. https://t.co/NcmG5Gi5L8

The second THUD you heard came after Kohn claimed that thrown rocks aren’t threats. As you might have guessed, people have some thoughts on that one:
Rocks aren’t threats: a lecture by people who equate words with violence https://t.co/49oTSYykNg

Rocks aren’t threats, says the person that isn’t there to have a rock thrown at them. You go down there and stand with our law enforcement and military when they storm the border and throw rocks at you and then tell me rocks aren’t a threat.

Somehow she doesn't know one of the most popular primal ways to execute or murder someone. It's like she's uneducated or something.
Hint: *whispers * ya see, there's this thing called stoning. https://t.co/02W61bLvhO

Women on the other side of the world are still executed by stoning, but sure, "rocks aren't threats". https://t.co/GtqlydrQjI

Okay that's fair. But you have to let everyone who wants to, throw rocks at you. Hopefully, you don't get upset. https://t.co/Qp0SPrYGTy

Ask Goliath if a rock is a threat.

Why are they throwing rocks in the first place ? Aren’t they peaceful ?

It’s anybody’s guess.
A couple weeks ago:
"The revocation of Acosta's hard pass is LITERALLY an attack on the foundations of our democracy!!!"
Today:
"Goodness, those border agents are such pussies! There's nothing dangerous about being struck in the head with a rock!" https://t.co/bj0Ap7SBcU— David Sylverthorne (@D_Sylverthorne) November 26, 2018
Speaking of that, just imagine the reaction if rock throwers had a different target:
Until someone throws a rock at a reporter … and then the republic is under attack ?

What are the odds Kohn would say rocks aren’t a “threat” if that happened?
