A final Senate vote on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court could take place this weekend, and the Washington Post editorial board has published a last-ditch effort to stop that from happening:
From The Post Editorial Board:
Enough has been learned about Brett M. Kavanaugh's partisan instincts that we believe senators must vote “no.”
We do not say so lightly. We have not opposed a Supreme Court nominee, liberal or conservative, since 1987.https://t.co/E0jyfR1dAi

The Washington Post editorial board, of which I am a part, has not opposed a Supreme Coirt nominee for 30 years, since Robert Bork. Not Clarence Thomas, not Samuel Alito or Neil Gorsuch. But we are calling in senators to vote against Brett Kavanaugh https://t.co/pgAeXADe0i

For the first time since 1987 (with Robert Bork), the @WashingtonPost editorial board call on the Senate to reject a Supreme Court nominee.https://t.co/TnM1SCY7oc

What a brave and unexpected stance to take! Oh wait, on second thought, nobody’s really surprised:
Yes we’re all shocked https://t.co/gX3LU3TVVG

I'm not going to lie to you, the odds of the Washington Post convincing a Republican on how to vote are about as happen to work as me getting signed by the Cubs in the offseason. https://t.co/v4dzKBzkVW

Did anybody expect anything else from the WaPo editorial board?
This is, presumably, an unintentionally hilarious tweet. https://t.co/UNiLYAGtZJ

Amount of difference that editorial is expected to make in the final Senate vote: ZERO.
Fantastic. Now I want him confirmed more than ever

Get me some smelling salts. Who could’ve possibly seen this coming?

I don't think this sends the message you think it does https://t.co/D0Iv1f1yfW

The self-regard here is amazing. The Washington Post editorial board has virtually no influence. But its members are legends in their own minds. https://t.co/rPIjEcWEoO

Notice how the only justices she mentions are those nominated by Republicans? https://t.co/mziZSvf4mA

Total coincidence, right?
