As Twitchy has reported, the suspect in the murder of Mollie Tibbetts is a man who is in the country illegally. That horrible story comes after Kate Steinle was killed in San Francisco in 2015 by an illegal alien who was subsequently acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges.
Author Stephen King obviously thinks it’s ridiculous to focus on the killers’ immigration status, because legal citizens do terrible things too:
Mollie Tibbetts may well have been killed by an undocumented alien, and that's a terrible thing. But we might remember that Stephen Craig Paddock was an American citizen. He killed 58.

As you might guess, there were many applauding King’s comments, but the fact remains that if people like the man accused of killing Mollie Tibbetts were not allowed in the country illegally, she would still be alive.
This argument by libs baffles me. Any death caused by an illegal alien who shouldn't even be in this country is a death that could have been completely prevented. No excuses https://t.co/M4NlgfMfwz

But they can’t go with that because it would trample all over the Democrat narrative.
WTF does one have to do with the other?

You're right, Stevie. Because an American citizen was a murderer then border security is pointless. Let's abolish ICE, open the borders completely, and let criminals come and go as they please. https://t.co/LdHu2kmUbm

This is a specious argument.
Miss Tibbet's henous murder was 100% preventable. https://t.co/EIPnDMd0sT
