Democrats like Sen. Chris Murphy have sounded the “Russia” alarm ever since Hillary Clinton lost the election to Donald Trump. However, the subsequent party talking points must not be catching on with the general public, because Murphy has shifted gears and changed focus:

Verifies what I find in Connecticut – while political class follows every Mueller twist and turn, tons of swing voters are focused on the same things they always are – health care, wages, education, safety. https://t.co/lw71UsJ88R

Either voters just don’t much care about what the Democrats have alleged or they’re not buying the Resistance spin on Hillary’s loss. We’re guessing it’s mostly the latter, and Murphy knows it.

The problem for Dems is that shifting focus to an economy that’s improving presents a different set of challenges. For Nancy Pelosi, it’s been trying to tell Americans that good economic news isn’t in their best interest, and the GOP sure hopes the Dems continue with that approach.
