Former Obama administration officials have been making statements in support of the former president’s “scandal free” claims. Former Attorney General Eric Holder recently said he never had to “protect” Obama, which is laughable, but former WH Press Secretary Jay Carney made a similar claim. Don’t be drinking anything when you read this:

Carney’s no longer behind the White House briefing room lectern but the whoppers keep on coming:
Some of the lies you told, @JayCarney
— YouTube caused Benghazi
— Obama was most transparent press ever (AP says he was the least)
— WH wouldn’t negotiate Bergdahl release w/o Congress
— O’Care website fiasco due to law’s popularity
— Obama Admin only uses gov’t email system https://t.co/1dFax6FWnh— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) March 8, 2018
In fairness, though, Carney merely said that he never had to be asked to lie, which is helpful.

This is true.@JayCarney totally lied about not knowing Hilary Rosen on his own. Obama didn't have to ask. https://t.co/hmkHlrJMoc

The Obama admin admitted to deliberately editing a 2013 briefing video to remove an exchange in which Jen Psaki acknowledged it was admin policy to lie to reporters in sensitive cases. Carney was press secretary at the time. https://t.co/RDifC7e9FW
