Another day, another “fake news” sighting:
This is the lamest attempt at manipulating news that CNN has done yet. They zoom away from Abe dumping his food to create FAKE controversy. https://t.co/DeQadJjhZt

In Japan, President Trump joined Japan’s prime minister in feeding fish food from two boxes. Some in the media, because everything must be twisted into a gaffe of some sort, were quick to try to turn it into an embarrassment for Trump:
Per pool, Trump & Abe were each feeding koi in a pond spoonfuls of fish food. Then this happened: https://t.co/1eI8IbA8hc

Trump scooped out some feed for the coy in the pond below before opting to just dump the whole box. Rex Tillerson, standing nearby, laughed.

CNN’s video zooms in and doesn’t show the full picture:

Hmm, there’s some context missing from that video! In reality, the embarrassment was again on the part of the media who pushed another piece of #FakeNews:
MSM getting upset over how Trump feeds fish is bad enough. But refusing to report that Abe dumped his food first takes it to next level. pic.twitter.com/9heAA7BDGN
— Andy Grewal (@AndyGrewal) November 6, 2017
Japanese PM Shinzo Abe emptied his entire container ahead of Trump, but the MSM is reporting that Trump embarrassingly broke protocol. pic.twitter.com/JyZC1ayhK7

This is some straight up bullshit, my dude. Trump's on point when he talks about #fakenews. He's talking about garbage like your tweet. pic.twitter.com/WNOZ3TXiW4

Who can you even trust. pic.twitter.com/POwKCsbOn3

Last night every news person ran with 'Look how rude Trump is overseas' takes, yet never mentioned Abe did it first. pic.twitter.com/YnIHzuUf8n

Nice editing.
I bet @CNN still wonders why people don't trust them https://t.co/0odNyFkpxT

CNN intentionally cropped this clip to hide the Japanese PM emptying his box before Trump.
But an apple is an apple or something right @CNN? https://t.co/NxVIaPVY7i— Harry Khachatrian (@Harry1T6) November 6, 2017
The banana is an apple, @CNN. https://t.co/Yvfoy2t22k

After another bogus narrative was spotted, attempts were made to reel it back in:
Tale of the tape: Abe dumped his fish food first! https://t.co/ddkiyc8riU
— Julie Davis (@juliehdavis) November 6, 2017
2,700 retweets for the “OMG look at Trump” tweet, under 100 so far for the full context tweet.
Abe dumped his fish food first. https://t.co/dWZf2IDrPL
— Nicholas Wadhams (@nwadhams) November 6, 2017
This is correct, and my tweet about the Koi pond was incorrect. I’ve since deleted it. https://t.co/uxMhj4EYBp
— Christina Wilkie (@christinawilkie) November 6, 2017
I've deleted this tweet which was based on multiple news reports but the video clearly shows Abe dumping his box of food first. pic.twitter.com/nsdt8U0awj

Too late though, because of course the bogus spin had already caught on:
And the media wonders where all the distrust comes from?
Wow they are never going to give up huh? Just have to turn them off.

It definitely won’t be the last time they do it.
