Shocker! Guess what 3 words in Trump's speech made Ben Rhodes shudder

One of the topics discussed during President Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress Tuesday night was terrorism:

Three of those words really bothered former Obama adviser Ben Rhodes:

What was accomplished by declaring war on "radical Islamic terrorism"? Just alienating Muslim allies who we need, and emboldening terrorists

Well, using terms like “JV team” and blaming terrorism in part on climate change certainly didn’t seem to do much to stop it. And besides…

Hush now, you had your turn. And it didn't go all that swell. https://t.co/Jp89Lggn82

You're right. We should probably just ship another $12 billion to Iran just to be safe. https://t.co/t40gl2q3S9

You gave pallets of cash to Iran & used hostages as a negotiating ploy. Probably should sit out the emboldening terrorists discussion https://t.co/OcMDUKt97y

Ex Obama advisers are the last people who should be lecturing about “emboldening” anybody.

You need to turn your hearing aid up. He said we will work all our allies, including our #friends and allies in the Muslim world

I will bet you all the money in the world that not a single terrorist anywhere in the world is "emboldened" by that phrase. https://t.co/8oHudTsHoB
