'No political path forward': Ben Carson drops out of Fox News debate (but doesn't end campaign?)

Dr. Ben Carson released a statement today about the future of his presidential campaign:

But if you read the statement, Carson says that even though he sees “no political path forward” and is dropping out of the Fox News debate, he didn’t specifically say he was suspending his campaign:
