A day before the terrorist attack in Paris, President Obama said in an interview that ISIS was “contained.”
Last week, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff offered a much different assessment, which was backed up today by Secretary of Defense Ash Carter, who was being questioned by the Senate Armed Services Committee:
