Russia reportedly informed the U.S. to clear the air space over Syria just one hour before they started bombing targets in that country.
John Kerry, speaking at the U.N. today, said he doesn’t necessarily have a problem with that as long as Russia’s going after certain people:

Kerry: If Russia’s ongoing actions in Syria are a genuine commitment to fight ISIS, “we are prepared to welcome those efforts"

It doesn’t look as if Putin really cares if Obama and Kerry roll out the welcome wagon or not:
But a senior U.S. administration official told CNN’s Elise Labott the Russian airstrike near the city of Homs “has no strategic purpose” in terms of combating ISIS, which “shows they are not there to go after ISIL.”
The 80’s called, Secretary Kerry…
It's a sign of how effed up Syria is that our reaction to Russia bombing them is "let's see who they're bombing" https://t.co/DuHO1MMjoV

The White House never quite seems to be able to figure out Putin’s intentions.
