Back in May we pointed out that labor unions in Los Angeles that backed a $15-per-hour minimum wage which the City Council approved were backpedaling and attempting to get waivers from the law they supported.
The union effort continues:

L.A. passed a $15 minimum wage. Why do local unions want their workers to be exempt? http://t.co/ocmnjEkDGn

Unions are twisting themselves into knots trying to explain why they should be given “loopholes” in the law:

Nice try, hypocrites.
@mattdpearce Because they're hypocrites? Unions also wanted exemption from Obamacare, after lobbying heavily to pass it.

So far this union bait-and-switch has backfired, but we’ll see what the future brings.
