What steps are being taken to ensure the VA scandal that President Obama learned about from news reports is effectively addressed so it never happens again? One measure will be unveiled today:
With POTUS, VA Secy Bob McDonald will announce a new advisory committee to recommend ways to fix V.A. performance shortcomings.

Another advisory committee. Should we have expected anything more or less?
More committees. No action. https://t.co/YiaAGb5CLV @markknoller

How do you solve a problem about vets getting lost in big government? Grow government https://t.co/QROw8PdE0y

I mean wasn't this the Sec.VA job? Now we need a committee to report to him to report to Obama? See the problem? https://t.co/QROw8PdE0y

@markknoller another committee. That is all they are doing?

Committees like this aren't created to solve problems. They're created to make them appear to have been solved. https://t.co/qU3IkQXIaV

The horrible problems at the VA need to be addressed. Will an “advisory committee” be effective in that capacity? Confidence is low.
@markknoller Best way: FIRE underperformers, and stop awarding bonuses for poor performance.

@markknoller perhaps stop spending billions on new buildings & administrator bonuses. Hint: spend more on doctors and treatment for Vets.

@redsteeze We need to start asking GOP hopefuls what they would do to fix the VA. Make it part of the platform for 2016.
