After Tuesday’s elections, Washington Post op-ed columnist David Ignatius opened his column this way [emphasis ours]:
President Obama looked almost relieved after Tuesday’s election blowout. A man who has been perhaps the least political president in modern U.S. history doesn’t have to worry about elections anymore.
How far in the sand does your head have to be to make that statement about President Obama?
Dana Perino put it this way:
A syndicated columnist writes that the president has been the least political in modern history. No wonder the DC bubble can't be popped.

It’s not a bubble, but rather a thick dome made of impenetrable steel:
@DanaPerino Worse than rose colored glasses this columnist is blind

@DanaPerino It's the holiday season. The press corps all want that party invitation.

@DanaPerino I am hoping that was an Onion article …. otherwise the writer should be locked in a psychiatrist hospital for his protection

@DanaPerino Let's hope they stay in their delusional world right through the 2016 election.

Election Day was a huge wave in favor of the Republicans, but it obviously wasn’t strong enough to sweep some in the media off Obama’s lap.
