Lena Dunham’s memoir, “Not That Kind of Girl,” contains passages that some allege describe Dunham’s sexual abuse of her younger sister. The story sparked plenty of criticism, and Dunham has canceled upcoming book tour stops in Europe.

Maybe they did read it, but in today’s media culture it either didn’t raise any eyebrows or was purposefully left in to add an element of the sensational:
