Director the the NIH, Dr. Francis Collins, has blamed the lack of an Ebola vaccine on budget cuts.
Sarah Kliff, senior editor at Vox.com, isn’t buying that excuse:

Hard for me to believe that budget cuts are why we don’t have an Ebola vaccine, as Collins says. Until now, it wasn’t a priority item.
