President Obama will be in California beginning this evening for his usual thing (if you don’t also count creating traffic nightmares):

The first event Obama will attend will be a high dollar DNC fundraiser at the home of actress Gwyneth Paltrow. Albert Brooks describes what will happen next:

That’s usually the plan. Paltrow and her wealthy friends will hand over some money to rich Democrats and then pat each other on the back for having done something about income inequality.
