Whoops! Delaware Gov. Markell apologizes for tweet containing 'inappropriate photo'

Delaware Gov. Jack Markell and/or his staffers had to hit the “delete” button today, and somebody probably had some explaining to do.

Here’s the tweet that was sent out from the account of Gov. Markell, a Democrat, via Politwoops:

That’s definitely not the governor.

The explanation?

Markell spokesman says photo link was mistakenly altered, linking to racy photo. "We just wish the accidental link had been a cat video."

Earlier photo was tweeted bc link was accidentally changed during upload, resulting in random, unrelated pic. Wish link was to cat video.
