After 'mocking' House for doing nothing, CNN's Dana Bash calls action on border bill a 'show vote'

House Republican leaders didn’t bring a border bill to a vote yesterday, but are drafting a new bill and could vote on it later today. Here’s where things stand at the moment:

Process 1: Rules Cmte meets at 3:15 pm et. Writes & passes new rule to handle updated border bills

Process 2: House must take up "rule" from Rules Cmte. Debate & pass those to bring up revamped border bills.

Process 3: House debates/passes revamped border bills. This will take several hours. Probably not done until after 6:30 pm et if not later

Yesterday, CNN’s Dana Bash bemoaned a House that “won’t even vote”:

Sounds as if some reporters already have the “no win scenario” for the Republicans all laid out.
