'Will threaten lives of American soldiers': Rep. Mike Rogers blasts decision to release Taliban leaders

The Obama administration released from Gitmo five Taliban leaders in return for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who had been held by the Taliban in Afghanistan since 2009. The five men released from U.S. custody have been called “among the most dangerous” at Gitmo.

Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Mike Rogers, is not happy with the release the five Gitmo detainees. The Michigan Republican is warning that the move will cost lives and lead to an increase in the taking of hostages:

Rogers, a Michigan Republican, will not seek re-election in November.
