Montana Republican deletes tweet about finding and turning in backpack containing $10k

Montana Republican Champ Edmunds deleted the above tweet yesterday, but not before Politwoops grabbed it. Edmunds is a state legislator running to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Democrat Max Baucus.

We’re unsure why Edmunds deleted a tweet that highlights his honesty, other than perhaps a realization that bragging about being an honest politician isn’t necessarily a resume enhancer inside the Beltway.
