'Just a local crime story'? CNN.com search engine users not finding news about Leland Yee arrest

If you need a really embarrassing Democrat like Leland Yee flushed down the memory hole, CNN stands ready to help.

California Democrat and gun control advocate Leland Yee has been arrested and charged with conspiracy to traffic in firearms and public corruption. Big story, right? You’d think so. However, people looking for the latest news about Yee’s arrest on CNN’s website are coming up with zero, zilch, nada:

Hey @CNN, I think your search engine is busted. No results for "Leland Yee" on your website. http://t.co/Va5tpIP0nV Is this correct?

How ’bout it CNN? Is the search engine just broken?

@RBPundit @instapundit @CNN Try "Leland Yee arrested": "Your search leland yee arrested did not match any documents." http://t.co/lI9HTBw9TY

@PoliticalTicker Nothing about Leland Yee's arrest? Corruption, gun running and CNN has NOTHING to say? WTH happened to "most trusted name"?

Gosh, what’s different about Yee that might make some news outlets not take a quick interest?

C’mon. If a pro-NRA Republican state senator were caught arranging arms deals, would @CNN really be devoid of coverage?

Stay tuned … there might be one way to get CNN to give the Yee story the attention it deserves:

In that case, “breaking news!”
