Brit Hume calls out journalism prof's 'twaddle' op-ed linking JFK assassination to 'Tea Party roots'

Fox News’ Brit Hume brought a ridiculous op-ed to the attention of Twitter today:

You read that right. A University of Texas journalism professor named Bill Minutaglio has attempted to implicate the Tea Party in the assassination of JFK 50 years ago.

From the op-ed:

To find the very roots of the tea party of 2013, just go back to downtown Dallas in 1963, back to the months and weeks leading to the Kennedy assassination. It was where and when a deeply angry political polarization, driven by a band of zealots, burst wide open in America.

Wow. Was Sarah Palin there too?

Of course the prof. never mentions “Oswald,” because it would have obliterated the “blame Tea Party roots” house of cards he spent so much time putting together:

What a great example of honest “journalism” for his students.
