Jay Carney had another press conference today, which means the world is now stocked with more lies, but this one is a whopper even by Carney standards. Carney not only claimed the Obama administration knew Obamacare enrollment would initially be low, but that they stated that publicly:
Carney says health insurance enrollment numbers now are likely low: "we said that even before October 1"

Wait, what?
Carney: "They were always going to be low, the enrollment figures…because that's how enrollment periods work"

Haha!
Carney dismissed reporters questions about enrollment numbers because the only people who have an interest in that information are people who opposed the law in the first place:

However, as with most everything else Jay Carney says, it’s all a total lie:
But it's not hard to find stories about a Sept 5 memo that nearly 500,000 would enroll for insurance in October

Sure Jay. And the White House re-tweeted these numbers in early October because they wanted to lower enrollment expectations, right?
Shorter Carney press conference: The White House never painted a rosy picture of enrollment numbers, and we won’t do it again.
"We concede that they will be" low, Jay Carney says of Obamacare enrollment numbers due mid-Nov.
