A two-fer Thursday from the Reverend Jesse Jackson!
Jackson’s statement on CNN today of “the inclination to boycott Florida, stop conventions, to isolate Florida as a kind of apartheid state” if the DOJ doesn’t act against George Zimmerman wouldn’t be less ridiculous on any other day. However, given the fact that this is Nelson Mandela’s birthday, many tweeters thought Jackson’s accusation was, well, extra stupid and over the top:

Shame on you #JesseJackson for cheapening Nelson Mandela (on his birthday) and real apartheid, by calling Florida an apartheid state. #Vile

Jackson better be careful not to peak too soon. If he’s already labelled Florida as an “apartheid state,” what will tomorrow bring?
Brace for a possible orange juice boycott:
Jesse Jackson "Treat Florida As 'Apartheid State'". Does he want black people 2 stop drinking orange juice? http://t.co/Td60PSfgA6 #Tcot #p2
