When the media reports about layoffs in another industry it’s sometimes framed as just part of the business cycle (or even necessary to “save the planet,” like when coal workers lose their jobs), but when the pink slips are being handed out to journos, that’s a different story entirely.
The last few months have been especially bad at some media outlets, and below is a partial list of where layoffs have occurred:
