Yesterday Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made it clear that Florida is not a sanctuary state, which is why people in the country illegally are being sent away to places such as Martha’s Vineyard:
In Florida, we take what is happening at the southern border seriously.
We are not a sanctuary state, and we will gladly facilitate the transport of illegal immigrants to sanctuary jurisdictions. pic.twitter.com/YeEbMzy8yG

“We will gladly facilitate the transport of illegal immigrants to sanctuary jurisdictions.”
And obviously DeSantis meant it. Now, you’re probably thinking, “what do the late-night hosts on CBS, ABC and Comedy Central think about all this?” Wait, no, that’s not what you were thinking, but the New York Times was all over it anyway:

It’s cute that the Times seems to think that’s going to sway anybody.
Here's a look at some of the highlights worth watching from late-night TV. https://t.co/rLOVlbpLZd

The “jokes” from Noah, Kimmel and Colbert often sound like they were sent straight in from DNC headquarters. Maybe these were:
“If you told DeSantis to spend the same amount of money helping these asylum seekers, he’d be like, ‘Oh, we don’t have the funding for that,’ but to troll the Democrats, suddenly he’s like, ‘Put it on my card, yeah!’” — TREVOR NOAH
“And by the way, America actually has a history of doing this. In the 1960s, racist organizations in the South shipped Black people up to Northern states to make liberals uncomfortable. But Ron DeSantis obviously doesn’t know about that, because the pages in his history books were torn out in his state.” — TREVOR NOAH
“I guess Ron DeSantis doesn’t know about the Statue of Liberty.” — JIMMY KIMMEL
[…]
“Yesterday, DeSantis flew two planes of Hispanic immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard. Hey, Ron, if you’re trying to discourage immigration, maybe don’t send people to one of the loveliest parts of New England just in time for leaf-peeping season.” — STEPHEN COLBERT
I didn’t personally see any of those lines delivered because I was watching “GUTFELD!” which consistently beats all of the above in the ratings.
You won’t be surprised to learn that the DeSantis campaign doesn’t care. As a matter of fact, that collection of late-night “comics” are nothing more than hacks for the Democrats, so their criticism is a badge of honor:

DeSantis should run video of upset lib late-night hosts in campaign ads.
