The new management of CNN has been doing a bit of housecleaning lately. “Reliable Sources” host Brian Stelter is out, and yesterday hack “journalist” John Harwood announced that it was his last day at the cable net:
personal news:
today's my last day at CNN
proud of the work
thanks to my colleagues
i've been lucky to serve the best in American media – St. Petersburg Times, WSJ, NYT, the NBC family, CNN
look forward to figuring out what's next

Former CBS Evening News anchor and frequent guest on CNN’s ironically-titled “Reliable Sources” program, Dan Rather, wants to know what’s going on:
What is going on at CNN? It’s a serious question. There is a lot of speculation on directives and motives. What’s really going on? And is it being noticed by the audience?
— Dan Rather (@DanRather) September 2, 2022
First of all, “audience”? LOL! Yeah, that’s part of the problem, Dan:
Dan Rather thinks CNN has an audience. That's cute, Dan. https://t.co/rKSgRVGsQ2

What audience? https://t.co/oEHI90lr8a

Mockery of CNN’s “audience” (which obviously includes Dan Rather, so there’s one viewer) aside, it’s quite telling that CNN’s new CEO’s desire to bring the cable net back to straight news and not constant anti-Trump opinion disguised as reporting is seen as troubling by alleged “journalists” such as the former CBS Evening News anchor (ask him why he was let go).
Methinks Dan’s guest spots on said network have expired. https://t.co/W8SsWeWyd2

No more “Reliable Sources” featuring the ex-newsman who got fired for being an unreliable source? Say it ain’t so!
Perhaps just like when several years ago CBS dumped an anchor who made things up, CNN decided facts still matter. https://t.co/Hzafj2uCl3

Dan Rather, as a journalist, which you used to pretend to be, you are supposed to call balls and strikes, not pick a team. You have. John Hardwood did and that is why CNN fired him and why the tantrum of Fox Lite is trending. When unfairness is your game, fairness appears unfair. https://t.co/fsKV6qmwoi

CNN is trying to report news straight. Dan Rather hardest hit. https://t.co/OJ3RLMBN5R

And “journalists” complaining about it can’t see the irony, which is the entire problem.
Judging from a hashtag that’s going around, Rather’s not the only one troubled by CNN’s shift:
Hahahahaha!

The “new Fox,” except when it comes to viewers they’re still the “old CNN.”
