At the National Prayer Breakfast today, President Biden had some nice things to say about Sen. Mitch McConnell:
At the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, @POTUS called Mitch McConnell "a man of your word" and "a man of honor."
Two weeks ago, Biden said @LeaderMcConnell and Republicans were "on the side of" segregationists George Wallace and Bull Connor.pic.twitter.com/oiMeppcPDx

Pres. Biden thanks Senate GOP Leader McConnell “for being my friend” during National Prayer Breakfast.
“Mitch, I don't wanna hurt your reputation, but we really are friends…You’ve always done exactly what you’ve said. You’re a man of your word. And you’re a man of honor.” pic.twitter.com/OHrBbH9RDz

Wow, that’s a far cry from what Biden (and VP Kamala Harris) said about Republicans (and a couple uncooperative Democrats in the Senate) in Georgia two weeks ago before the “voting rights” bill went down to defeat. Remember this?
Try not to get whiplash from that sudden change in direction!
2 weeks ago Biden compared Mitch McConnell (& every other Republican & 2 Democrats) to the President of the Confederacy but ok. https://t.co/TaaClU97Cw

That de-escalated quickly!
