WaPo explains why tweet about 'Waukesha tragedy' that was 'caused by an SUV' has been deleted

Yesterday we told you that the Washington Post had a rather odd way of framing the Waukesha massacre, calling it a tragedy that was “caused by an SUV.”

Apparently somebody at the Post decided that framing wasn’t being well received:

That deletion wouldn’t have anything to do with the original tweet getting ratioed into oblivion, would it?

WaPo’s replacement decided to just go with a vague approach:

Now it’s a “sequence of events” that led to a “tragedy.”
