You might remember back in early July when the Biden White House claiming to have saved the average American family 16 cents on their Independence Day barbecue. It was cringeworthy:
Planning a cookout this year? Ketchup on the news. According to the Farm Bureau, the cost of a 4th of July BBQ is down from last year. It’s a fact you must-hear(d). Hot dog, the Biden economic plan is working. And that’s something we can all relish. pic.twitter.com/7h9qLauIbC

Just a couple of months ago, the Biden White House wanted everybody to believe they were saving them a little (very little) money on food. Compare and contrast that with today’s acknowledgment of reality:
Psaki opens up press briefing by talking about what the Biden Admin is doing to lower food prices.
A few months ago, they were denying costs were even increasing.
Does anyone in the WH have any idea what’s really happening in America?

The White House deputy press secretary says the Biden administration has a plan to bring prices down (just like they had a plan to “shut down the virus”?):

and @BrianDeeseNEC are in the briefing room with @PressSec to talk about what we’re seeing behind increases in grocery food prices and what the Biden-Harris Admin is doing to lower prices for families. pic.twitter.com/dzNhbiUV1F— Karine Jean-Pierre (@KJP46) September 8, 2021
Why are we assuming their “solution” will only make the problem worse? And check out this spin:
NEC Director Brian Deese on rising grocery prices: "If you take out those three categories [beef, pork, and poultry], we've actually seen prices increases that are more in line with historical norms." pic.twitter.com/HjPpJR3jUq

LOL! Please.
"If you don't count 50% of the food people eat, prices really haven't gone up that much" is some bang-up messaging. https://t.co/T2Ltt8D3E4

They’re desperate, and it shows.
"If you don't count the Taliban and stranding Americans, Afghanistan was a huge success."

Gee golly darn this sure does seem to be happening at the same time as the left’s relentless push to make people stop eating meat to stop climate change https://t.co/D5B2ISGG4l

if you remove all the groceries, like, price increases are more in line with norms. https://t.co/zsXl3CqSL1

We have a president who wants everybody to believe that spending another few trillion dollars will help bring down inflation, so confidence is extremely low that they’ll actually bring down the price of anything.
