The coronavirus numbers in Michigan are among the worst in the country, and the state’s re-opening has been paused. The mask mandate was never lifted either. But Gov. Gretchen Whitmer does have a Fauci pillow that has yet to impart any wisdom when it comes to slowing the spread in the state:
However, apparently taking responsibility and not casting blame isn’t in the cards for the state’s Attorney General Dana Nessel:
My department has spent over a year attempting to enforce Covid orders from the governor and DHHS with enormous blowback from county prosecutors, sheriffs, and police chiefs all over the state-not to mention Republican office holders who encourage defiance at every turn. https://t.co/P27uqLAROG

The result is that our state now finds itself in the unenviable but predictable position of having the worst rates of new infections in the nation.

I have long compared this situation to that of a serial murderer on the loose, but instead of helping to track down the killer, law enforcement announces that efforts by the government to have residents lock their doors and windows is a tyrannical action.

If we were not elected to save the lives of our constituents-why are we in office? I continue to hope and pray that those in positions of authority will spend more time working together to combat the virus and less time fighting with each other.

There’s no more Trump to blame, so state Republicans & police are next in line for Michigan Dems to try and kick under the “science” bus.
If only her department had spent the last year upholding people’s rights. https://t.co/5BEPkDut73

Yet, two individuals that work for Whitmer defied her recommendations within the last month.

The Michigan Attorney General is claiming COVID spread because the police didn’t jail enough small biz owners.
Does @GovWhitmer agree with this? That law enforcement officers are the real problem? #migov #miag https://t.co/7ihL6vcmIc

Instead of publicly whining, look at the science that has worked in other states, admit you were wrong & implement change that will reduce cases like GA(1,622), TX(2,966), & AL(422) all have
Even Florida w/more than double Michigan’s population has 7,296 cases compared to 9,806 https://t.co/EilqnaOjsL

The Whitmer administration will do anything to avoid admitting the obvious.
