Last weekend we told you about an op-ed published in the Washington Post in which writer and CNN commentator David Swerdlick made the argument that former President Barack Obama is a conservative:
Perspective: Democratic presidential candidates still can’t figure out how to talk about the most popular figure in their party, @Swerdlick writes, and there's a simple reason.
Barack Obama is a conservative. https://t.co/45gsMfhQ2c

Because there’s no such thing as too ridiculous for CNN, they had Swerdlick on for some doubling down:
“President Obama is a conservative,” @Swerdlick tells @smerconish.
Obama “believed in using government to change people's lives…in a way that preserved the way his predecessors had done things and also that had preserved a traditional American sense of the American Dream.” pic.twitter.com/WKUBn0MIFs

It never stops being funny:
CNN is satire now. https://t.co/3DDnzkZwmL

The Babylon Bee and The Onion have had stiff competition from CNN for quite some time now.
Modern liberalism seems to be all about topping themselves in a competition of the nonsensical
There’s only one possible result in that sort of sport — the participants lose their damn minds

One problem we face in our current moment is that our pundit class appears to have an implicit theory of language and political discourse that goes roughly "lol words." https://t.co/AAjn3p8mXw

Lies. Obama wanted to "fundamentally change" this country. He said so. History revision. https://t.co/jOkWsUwHvk

“Fundamentally transform the United States” must now be considered a conservative thing for a Democrat to say.
