According to the Real Clear Politics poll average for 2020 Democrats, Bill de Blasio is polling at 0.3 percent, which means he’s got some work to do. One campaign appearance designed to give the campaign a little Iowa momentum was promoted ahead of time:
On Sunday, August 11, you can see de Blasio at 10 am at Parlor City, 1125 3rd St. SE, in Cedar Rapids, and Jay Inslee at 4 pm at Indian Creek Nature Center, 5300 Otis Road SE, in Cedar Rapids. I hope to see you there. #iacaucus

However, considering his polling numbers — or lack thereof, it looks like all of de Blasio’s Iowa supporters might have been in the same room with him yesterday:
