Dan Rather made his position on Robert Mueller’s testimony quite clear when he overheated irony detectors by accusing House Republicans of “spinning fairy tales,” and he’s since predicted that Mueller and his time as special counsel will be remembered fondly:
When the truth of this age is written, when it is separated from the cacophony of the moment, I suspect Robert Mueller will tower above those who now seek to taunt him into oblivion. His will be a name that will be remembered, and honored.

In the future people might view what happened and why quite differently than Rather sees it, but time will tell:
It’s hard to fathom how anyone could watch Robert Mueller’s testimony and not realize they’ve been played for a fool…
But to double down like Dan Rather and several others is flat out sad, they’ve left the point of blind hope, and entered the realm of unhealthy delusion…
