Incoming U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney has an op-ed in the Washington Post titled, “The president shapes the public character of the nation. Trump’s character falls short.”
Mitt Romney: The president shapes the public character of the nation. Trump’s character falls short. https://t.co/pfuTTLwe4v via @postopinions

Policies and appointments are only a part of a presidency. A president must also unite us, inspire us, and defend our vital institutions. https://t.co/jmIw8XbV4k

On Fox News, Dan Bongino slammed Romney’s op-ed, and that caught the attention of CNN’s Brian Stelter, who came rushing to the defense of the 2012 Republican nominee:
Bongino screaming about Romney on @FoxAndFriends: "YOU BIG PHONY FRAUD FAKE. You should have never taken that endorsement, if this is how you felt. This guy's a disgrace. He's an embarrassment." On Trump: "What's the character problem here?" (Re-read the op-ed, Dan)

Bongino’s reaction was basically to say thank you:
As always thanks for watching Fox, that’s where the real action (and viewers) are.

Even Brian Stelter knows not to watch CNN in the mornings. ? https://t.co/3IykbwkdvU

Stelter has frequently proven himself to be a habitual viewer of Fox News, and today is no different!
Ooof. That’s gonna sting
