Things got heated again at today’s White House briefing when CNN’s Jim Acosta, fresh off facing down “CNN sucks” chants at a Trump rally in Tampa earlier this week, asked Sarah Sanders if the media is “the enemy of the people”:
.@Acosta asks @PressSec to state clearly that she does not believe the press is "the enemy of the people."
She does not. Instead, airing or more grievances: "repeatedly the media resorts to personal attacks," Sanders says.

Sarah Sanders just “appreciate your passion’d” Acosta.

Here’s Sanders’ reply to CNN’s high profile Resistance reporter:

After that particular dressing down, Acosta was in another “dear diary” mood:
I walked out of the end of that briefing because I am totally saddened by what just happened. Sarah Sanders was repeatedly given a chance to say the press is not the enemy and she wouldn't do it. Shameful.

One final question:
If you're a reporter trying to get on the record quotes about election interference and steps this WH is taking or not taking to ensure midterm security from Coates, etc.. how pissed are you that now it's simply the Jim Acosta show?
