As people are recalling, the mayor was recently able to come up with enough money to use the students to push a left-wing cause in spite of numerous other problems in the city:
This past winter, Baltimore schools had no heat
Then, the mayor came up with $100K to bus students to a gun control march
Now, Baltimore schools don’t have air conditioning, and it’s only the beginning of May https://t.co/CCFbjPH1W7

In March, Baltimore schools sent students to the anti-NRA March for Our Lives. The mayor said the $100,000 or so it cost to do so was “paid for by the private sector and donors”:

The people in charge decided to spend $100K to bus kids to a gun control march, but not to keep their schools at a habitable temperature.
Follow the money: it goes to left-wing causes, not to educating children. https://t.co/22bCgQKYqH
