New Jersey Senator Cory Booker (with possible assistance from T-Bone) has taken to Twitter this morning to call for “common sense” action that would supposedly prevent horrors such as the mass murder at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.
Dana Loesch has been trying to inform Booker that much of what he says needs to be done are laws already on the books:
Let's follow with expanding ban of sales to those convicted of domestic violence – research shows it REALLY works. https://t.co/dkoWVuIEBZ

Omg. This is already a law. https://t.co/ZVrMTumC59

Not only is that a law already, @CoryBooker but you're disqualified if a PO is against you for same. Stop proposing laws that exist.

Why do u think I am ONLY concerned about people murdered at schools? 30+ people die a day from illegal gun ownership https://t.co/qAosoBDPIh
— Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) October 3, 2015
Gang and drug activity. But hey, don't blame gangs. https://t.co/0lHrQ9aY3a

As mayor, almost all Nwks shootings were done by people obtaining guns illegally – we must clamp down on loopholes. https://t.co/qAosoBDPIh
— Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) October 3, 2015
No loopholes other than people breaking laws which already exist. You should make law-breaking illegal. https://t.co/dEGfv9KHSV

Plurality of guns used in our shootings were coming from state's like Virginia that had lax gun laws & enforcement. https://t.co/qAosoBDPIh

Actually zero stats to support that, and states isn't possessive. https://t.co/2prpgCuBqx

1. We must better crack down on straw purchases. 2. There is a Gun Show loophole: close it 3. We must improve NICS https://t.co/1cfOpD1Jl2
— Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) October 3, 2015
1. It's already a felony 2. No there isn't. 3. You want to expand a faulty system. But ignore those of us who know. https://t.co/OM2P5DixAu

I don't understand how sensible background checks, better funding of ATF, etc became "disarming good people." https://t.co/KCIQknO1Ea
— Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) October 3, 2015
ATF isn't well-funded? Wow. #FastAndFurious https://t.co/sRpFxfB6QG

NJ restrictions like @CoryBooker supports didn't work so well for Carol Browne: http://t.co/rM5wlko7tK

And besides:
@JayCaruso @CoryBooker I guess he doesn't know his party defeated background checks when they controlled the Senate. http://t.co/K5bsrNSpas
