Kathy Groob, a political consultant involved with a PAC working to defeat Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell and elect Democrat Alison Grimes, is also an “activist for women’s rights and equality,” according to her Twitter bio. However, since the discovery of comments that demonstrate Groob’s apparent obsession with pointing out that McConnell’s wife is of Asian descent, some of her tweets have been disappearing:
@redsteeze Hmmm, looks like @kgroob deleted some posts … hope she's knows Twitchy is forever @TwitchyTeam

So far, SIX racist tweets from @KGroob warning Kentuckians against the Asian Menance… let's see how many more she's got. #FancyFarm

hey @KGroob, why did you delete your blatantly racist tweet? Did the IRS recycle it? Don't worry I got backups! pic.twitter.com/FkDszpsDGQ

oh @Kgroob, a little heavy on the delete button, no? Don't worry, I got screencaps! pic.twitter.com/B6UQueP409

I dunno @Kgroob, for a feminist who thinks "sexism has no place in politics" you sure do hate women who are asian! pic.twitter.com/cw3SwXuy4H

Hey @AlisonForKY do you approve of your "feminist" supporter @kgroob maligning Mitch's wife for being Asian? http://t.co/FapVKXirJU
— ¡El Sooopèrr! ن c137 (@SooperMexican) August 2, 2014
How very feminist and progressive!
WTF?!? "She isn't from Kentucky. She is Asian."

Good stuff. Tolerant, progressive. RT @coolhandschlute: Looks like @kgroob is about to learn that Twitter is forever. http://t.co/mYLt75gzfz

Groob “apologized” this way:
https://twitter.com/kgroob/status/495602790853775360
That “poor choice of words” happened several times, as evidenced by the number of tweets Groob felt compelled to delete.
"Equality activist" @kgroob for @AlisonForKY made a "poor choice" of racist words. Over and over and over again lol: http://t.co/FapVKXirJU
— ¡El Sooopèrr! ن c137 (@SooperMexican) August 2, 2014
Yeah you quadruple-downed before apologizing. RT @kgroob My sincere apologies for poor choice of words.
— Juegos y los gatos! (@ArtrexisLives) August 2, 2014
@kgroob maybe you should apologize for your real action: viewing the world through a racial lens
— CPJ (@CPJEsq) August 2, 2014
@kgroob It wasn't a poor choice of words. It was a window into your soul. Change your org name to Elect Line-Towing-Liberal Women

An apology includes what you are apologizing for. Unless you're attempting a blanket apology for lifetime of poor word choices. @kgroob

Does the consultant need a consultant?
@kgroob Please think about your use of words more carefully in the future. Maybe even consult others.
