The second day of members of the Senate Judiciary Committee members questioning SCOTUS nominee Amy Coney Barrett is ongoing, but five words from Dem Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse sum up where he thinks all this is headed:
So Whitehouse said "When you get up there" to Barrett….

Whitehouse seems resigned to what is inevitable:
Senator Whitehouse just said "take a look when you get up there" so even he knows this is a fait accompli #AmyComeyBarrett #ACB #SCOTUShearings #SCOTUS #ACBHearings

Mr. Whitehouse: "When you get up there, take a look at that."
GAME OVER.

It’s all over but the shouting, whining and weeping.
Sheldon Whitehouse (RI-D) says "WHEN you get up there" to Amy Coney Barrett – that is significant language, a lawyer or Democratic Senator does not use language like that frivolously.
That means she has the votes #SCOTUShearings

Whitehouse did say “when you get up there” not “if you get up there”. They all know she’s getting confirmed.

A Judiciary Committee vote that would forward Judge Barrett’s confirmation to the entire Senate for a vote is expected to take place next week.
