Yesterday there were two special elections in North Carolina. Even though Repubicans emerged victorious in both of the special elections, the media will always end up settling on a spin. Here’s one such example from The Atlantic:
The results of a special election portend trouble for the GOP in 2020—but also revealed real weaknesses for Democrats, writes @GrahamDavidA: https://t.co/HUBwKRNEYP
— The Atlantic (@TheAtlantic) September 11, 2019
Sharyl Attkisson took that spin apart:
Based on this headline, who would you guess won the election: D or R?
"North Carolina Gives Republicans a Wake-Up Call. The results of a special election portend trouble for the GOP in 2020…"https://t.co/9RlWQoYhKb— Sharyl Attkisson?️♂️ (@SharylAttkisson) September 11, 2019
Could the media possibly make it any more obvious?
Well, that did not take long. Dems are trying to get their trophy for losing.

Read the article. It seems to me the GOP candidates outperformed versus last time. This seems like a very strong GOP result.

The wake up call is on the DNC (but don't tell them). https://t.co/qNnfyhrjoT

????? You CANNOT make this garbage up. The media outlets have literally become parody accounts. https://t.co/D6PmidB0Yt

Did they think no one would notice the GOP win? ? https://t.co/G8reK5UcwQ

Perhaps the MSM finds that approach easier than facing reality.
