According to sources, Tim Tebow is not a fan of CubbyTees or their “MY Jesus” t-shirt design which looks exactly like the Jets’ logo.
TMZ acquired a cease and desist letter Tebow’s lawyers sent to cubbytees.com, makers of the shirt in question. It clearly riffs off the Jets logo and reads “My Jesus” with “My” replacing the “NY,” “Jesus” supplanting “Jets” and the Christian fish symbol (with cross) used in lieu of a football.
Tebow’s reps say “The Merchandise makes it appear as if Mr. Tebow actually endorses Cubby Tees and its products.” Team Tebow has already convinced eBay to pull the shirts.
Surprise, surprise! It looks like Tim Tebow and his lawyers won the battle. If you try to go to CubbyTees.com, you’ll notice their website is currently down.
